Having booked your Liverpool hotel, it’s now time to start your journey! Given the city’s excellent road, rail, air and sea connections, it is ideally situated for anyone looking to explore further afield.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised how close Liverpool is to the beaches of the North West, the so-called golf coast, the open countryside of Cheshire.
The Medieval City of Chester is 45 minutes away by train, magnificent North Wales and Snowdonia is only 90 minutes by road. Medieval York or the beautiful Lake District is only 2 hours and It’s less than one hour to the centre of Manchester. With London only a little more than two hours away on the train, you’re spoilt for choice!
Liverpool has its own international airport – John Lennon - which connects to many other major UK and European cities. While Manchester airport with worldwide links is only 45 minutes away and we can arrange airport transfers for you.
There are also regular sailings from Pier Head at Liverpool to Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man (during the summer months).
