Beatles Walk – Ticket to Ride Tour
Before you book this tour check out our Facebook reviews as we are the original and the best at Beatles Tours in Liverpool. On this experience with your local qualified tour guide and Beatles expert you will ride the public bus along the same route as John, Paul & George to Penny Lane & beyond!
This is a 5-hour Brilliant Beatles Walking tour to showcase the city centre in the footsteps of the Fab4 and to take a public bus ride to the suburbs to see Penny lane and Strawberry Field’s. This tour has something for everyone and is great fun and a perfect shore excursion from one of the many Cruise Ship calls to Liverpool as the starting point is less than 5 minutes walk from Liverpool Cruise Terminal.
The tour starts close to the Cruise Terminal with a fabulous photo opportunity of the brand new larger than life statues of the Beatles in front of Liverpool’s Liver Buildings – where else in the world can you take a photo with such amazing icons!
You’ll then enjoy a guided visit to the "Double Fantasy" John Lennon and Yoko Ono exhibition with Yoko's art work, the famous "Bed-in" and lots of Yoko and Johns personal effects like John's acoustic guitar and his "National Health" glasses.
The tour continues through the World Heritage Site to see the Town Hall where the Beatles had their homecoming banquet and were made freemen of the City. Past the former site of the Iron Door Club and you’ll learn all about Paul and John being introduced for the first time when you see the Eleanor Rigby Statue and then visit the Cavern Club where the Beatles played 292 and where you can buy refreshments and souvenirs.
You’ll then be guided through the amazing city centre which has been transformed since European Capital of Culture 2008, you’ll see pubs and clubs including the Jacaranda and you will see the Schools and Colleges they attended as well as the World’s fifth largest Cathedral.
You’ll take a public double decker bus on the very same route that George Harrison’s father himself drove the boys to Penny Lane and then you will catch the same bus that John Lennon took to see Penny Lane and Strawberry Field.
The tour will finish at the fabulous Albert Docks where there are lots of shops and restaurants for you to buy your own lunch and souvenirs and where you can spend the rest of your day at leisure. The Albert Docks are a very short walk back to the Cruise Terminal.
